When Brooke and Ken Stillwell, co-owners of Southboro Wellness, began discussing the idea of opening a business together they weren’t sure where it would lead. Brooke is a chiropractor and has always loved helping others on their path to optimal health, so the thought of opening a health-related business was on the fore front of both of their minds.
2017 was a difficult year and after watching a very close family friend and Ken’s mother struggle, suffer, and lose their battle with cancer within a month of each other, Ken and Brooke knew without a doubt that they wanted to help and encourage people in their community to be proactive and preventative with their health and become more wellness-minded. Thus, Southboro Wellness was born, a health and wellness boutique that provides a personalized shopping experience in a relaxed atmosphere with a community-centered, upbeat vibe.
Since 2002, Brooke has been helping clients, family, and friends experience better health and well-being through chiropractic care, functional nutrition, and wellness education. Brooke graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2002 and has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Immediately after graduation, Brooke began work as a chiropractor in Rockville, Maryland.
In time, the Stillwell family moved back to their home town in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. Brooke then began work at Bompiani Chiropractic Clinic with her father, Tony, who is also a chiropractor. It was during this time that Brooke became involved with nutritional work. Along the path of improving her own health, Brooke stumbled upon a nutritional conference focused on Balancing Female Hormones. Brooke was so impressed with the information presented that she began to diligently work on her own health with various nutritional supplements and dietary/lifestyle changes. When Brooke saw the results in her own body, she began educating herself further through a variety of nutritional seminars, workshops, and conferences. Soon after, Brooke began implementing functional nutrition with her patients and clients and the results have been astounding!
Brooke has been attending nutritional seminars and conferences ever since in order to continually improve her education and knowledge base. Brooke uses chiropractic care, functional nutrition, and wellness education to aid the body in doing what it is already designed to do- HEAL and BE WELL!
Brooke always strives to give each person that comes through Southboro Wellness her undivided attention and focused individualized care. She hopes to teach her community that we don’t have to live in a paradigm of fear when it comes to our health and the health of our families. Knowledge is power and through education and lifestyle changes there is no limit to how the body can heal and be well. It is Dr. Brooke’s firm belief that healing comes from the inside out and it starts by changing your own mind set.
Brooke and her husband, Ken and their three boys have lived in Southborough since 2011. They love this town and enjoy all that New England has to offer from skiing in the winter to boating in the summer. The Stillwell family love being active and outdoors together! When Brooke isn’t spending time with her family, she loves running Southboro Wellness and owning a health focused business in Southborough.
